What is all this stuff about neighborhood planning???

The SLNA area has participated in the neighborhood planning process with City planners, but the process is currently in hiatus. For more information:

A draft proposal for restructuring the South Lamar Combined Neighborhood Planning Process can be found here. The text revisions have been suggested by neighborhood participants but have not been accepted by city planning staff.

Welcome to the Internet home of the South Lamar Neighborhood Association. Membership in the Association shall be open to all residents or residential property owners between these boundaries: North--Oltorf; South--Ben White; West--South Lamar/Manchaca; and East--Union Pacific Railroad. Here is a map illustrating the boundaries of the SLNA:

Membership in the Association shall be issued on the basis of residency and payment of annual dues due each January. Persons meeting the above criteria but who are unable to pay membership dues may request a reduction in dues or a waiver when submitting the Membership Application. The privilege of introducing motions and voting shall be limited to those who have joined the Association by paying dues at least ten (10) days prior to any regularly scheduled or special called meeting.
